KARISMA GRATING is a multipurpose grating system suitable for a variety of industrial applications. KARISMA GRATING available in numerous combinations of load bar (flat bar) depth and thickness, load bar pitch and cross bar pitch. KARISMA GRATING part numbers use the following coding system for easy identification.
GRATING TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION
Select between a 50mm and 100mm cross bar pitch (the distance between cross bar).
Choose the dimensions of the load bar in terms of height and width.
255 indicates a height of 25mm and thickness of 5mm
Select between a 30mm, 40mm or 60mm load bar pitch.
Series 1= 30mm
Series 2= 40mm
Series 3= 60mm
Select between mild steel or stainless steel.
Select between plain or serrated load bar.
Select between galvanized, bitumen dipped or untreated finishes.
The imperial measurement for bar grating are most commonly used in North America and South America. Manufactured from ASTM A1011, ASTM A36, S275JR and SS400 carbon steel, welded gratings are recommended for nearly all industrial flooring application.
To specify welded steel grating, first specify the TYPE of grating from the table below. In the instance of standard welded grating, the “W” indicates the assembly of the grating shall be Welded construction, the “19” indicates that the bearing bars shall be 19/16 (1-3/16) inches on center, and the “4” indicates that the cross bars shall be spaced at 4 inches on center. Following selection of the TYPE of grating, consult the load table on the following page to select the appropriate bearing bar size for the loads and spans to be serviced. Proper designation for standard welded grating with 1″ x 3/16: bearing bars in indicated 19-W-4 1″ x 3/16″.

|19 – W – 2||Bearing bars spaced at 1-3/16″ on center and close spaced cross bars at 2″ on center. Preferred for short spans and where small wheeled carts must smoothly pass over the grating.|
|15 – W – 4||Bearing bars spaced at 15/16″ on center and close spaced cross bars at 4″ on center. Provides additional floor surface area and increases load capacity by 26% when compared to standard spaced products.|
|15 – W – 2||Bearing bars spaced at 15/16″ on center with close spaced cross bars at 2″ on center. Yields the dual advantage of closer spaced bearing bars and cross bars.|
